Adam Van Grack Inducted into Jewish Sports Hall of Fame

Longman & Van Grack is proud to announce that our attorney, Adam Van Grack, will be inducted into the Greater Washington Jewish Sports Hall of Fame this weekend. The Greater Washington Jewish Sports Hall of Fame honors outstanding Jewish athletes and sports professionals who have strong ties to the Greater Washington Jewish community. Mr. Van Grack was featured this week on the cover of Washington Jewish Week for his Hall of Fame honor. Mr. Van Grack will be inducted into the Hall of Fame at the Dinner of Champions (held virtually) on Saturday, November 21, 2020. Adam Van Grack Hall of FameMr. Van Grack was nominated and selected to be inducted into the Hall of Fame as a competitor, champion, and administrator in canoe and kayak sports through and including the 2008, 2012, and 2016 Olympic Games. Specifically, in addition to Mr. Van Grack’s own athletic achievements in the sport of canoeing and kayaking, Mr. Van Grack has been the President of the Mid-Atlantic U.S. Olympic Training Center and Chair of USA Canoe Kayak (U.S. National Governing Body) for the 2016 Olympic Games. In that capacity, Mr. Van Grack worked to assist canoe and kayak athletes at the Games, streamline the administration of all canoe and kayak sports in the United States, and make sure that canoe and kayak athletes’ rights were properly addressed nationally and internationally.

Longman & Van Grack is also proud to be a Star Sponsor of the 2020 Dinner of Champions.  The annual Dinner of Champions, occurring this year on November 21, 2020, which features the induction ceremony for the Hall of Fame, funds a program that enables children with disabilities to attend the the Greater Washington JCC’s day camp. The 2019 Dinner of Champions event raised $450,000 for this inclusion program, according to the Bender JCC’s director of individual and corporate giving.
