Maryland Allows More Online Services for Business Filings

Today, the State of Maryland has announced that multiple business-related state filings, specifically those which are required for businesses to be in “Good Standing” with Maryland, can be accomplished with online filings. Previously, many of these Maryland business filings could not be accomplished online. A business being in “Good Standing” is a requirement for multiple types of Coronavirus-related, CARE Act, and other COVID-19 related relief. The Maryland Department of Assessments and Taxation (SDAT) are permitting these new online options for Maryland businesses needing to revive. Additionally, SDAT is waiving any related online expedited fees to help Maryland businesses stay active and stay in business.

Longman & Van Grack’s business attorney can assist Maryland businesses in becoming in “Good Standing” in Maryland, applying for Coronavirus-related relief, applying for CARE Act relief, and making all the necessary actions to keep a Maryland business running. Each business attorney at Longman & Van Grack has experience advising clients on business actions and Maryland SDAT filings.
